Post Song: Kill All Your Friends by My Chemical Romance.
If I’m going to do this whole blogging thing about my life, I’m going to have to write about my friends. I’m going to give all the people I write about code names for my sanity and their safety. I’ll be consistent on these names through out all the RAW and my lackluster love life posts and as a reminder, I’ll post their bios on the bottom of my Ramona page. So without further delay, here’s a breakdown on the people in the Ramonaville.
Ramona, that’s me. I am the protagonist that walks the borderline between hero and villain in my life. I’m eccentric, obnoxious, and slightly amusing. Get used to it.
Helena and Anna, who also write on HHH, are my two best friends. They are the only female friends that I have and I trust them completely. They’re opinionated, wise beyond their years, loving, and incredible people to be around. I’m lucky to have them because they make me a better person, whether they know it or not. Read their stuff and get to know them as well.
Peter Parker is my boyfriend. He’s not the real Spider Man, but probably the biggest Spidy fan boy I’ve ever met. He’s amazing on good days, lazy on bad days, and all together a loveable guy. He’s had some battles in life as far as figuring out who his is, but recently he has been pulling himself together. He has gained confidence in himself and pride in what he’s doing. I have to say it, this new change suits him and it most definitely attracts me to him more. We’ve been together since March 10, 2009. We are growing up and finding our way in adulthood together. Yay commitment.
Jesse is probably my best guy friend. He is also Peter’s best friend. If Peter and I were to get married tomorrow, Jesse would hands down be the best man. We joke around that he is Peter’s gay lover and we share Peter in a romantic relationship, but in reality, Peter and I share him. I relate to him a lot in this point in life because we’re at the same level. He understands me and my boyfriend. We love him. Jesse goes to uni in Oregon and will soon be joining the Navy. I’m so proud of him, yet miss him a lot.
Greg is another one of my guy friends. He’s super chill and for the most part a great person to hang out with. He has this weird attraction that makes you want to be around him, talk to him, associate yourself with him, etc. even when you don’t really want to. He is the one person I have met that likes the same type of music I like. He also has really good advice about my boyfriend’s paranoia and random life tips. Lately he has been drinking a lot, but he’s getting by.
Brian is the “friend” of our group that people are wary of and easily irritated by. In my opinion, he’s an okay guy, but he can become overbearing really easily. He brings up his scorned exes from high school in conversation very often and is as you would guess, single. If he could just shake off his creepiness and self-victimizing attitude, everything would go much better for him.
Daniel, Dan for short, is yet another guy friend of mine. He’s a fun, loveable guy who is currently on a mission in Japan. Yay Mormonism.
Nathan, yes another guy friend, is also a missionary currently serving in Philippines for the LDS Church. He’s the voice of reason in the group that calls it like he sees it. He’s also a bloody fast driver.
Gavin is my gay friend. He’s my cynical voice of reason when I need it and my go-to Grammar Nazi for editing my college papers. He’s super smart yet not everyone likes him. His personality is an acquired taste and I can’t get enough of him. He’s also away for uni in Portland, OR.
Max and Sam are two more guys friends of mine (I’m sorry) who I am just starting to know. They seem to be hanging around my group of guys more lately and I’ll tell you more as I get to know them better.
Roen is the guy that I was in love with for three years prior to Peter. I used to follow after him like a lovesick puppy. It is from him that I learned that unrequited love is the worst situation you can find yourself in. I’m not proud of that health behavior, but I moved on. However, I do still talk to him. We’re friends, if you can believe that.
Lindsey is my archenemy if I ever had one. I’m sure she’s a nice person. People tell me she’s a nice person. But she’s an aspiring home-wrecker in my book, and for that reason, I will forever hold a grudge. Bitch.
That’s all the people I can think of for now. I’ll add people to the list as needed.
