This blog is a new collaboration project between Ramona, Anna, and I. We all have separate lives that occasionally intersect and it’s fun to share something new and exciting. Our posts will range from the hilarious to the philosophical to the sensitive to the shallow. We hope to make you laugh, make you learn, and (most of all) make you think.
I’ve been diary blogging for about three years now. Consistently, for about one. Not here, obviously. I may or may not decide to share my other blog with you, dear reader. There, I’m not so anonymous. A few friends have found it and continue to read the updates. It’s a little daunting, sharing my innermost thoughts and feelings with people I occasionally run into.
Here’s the beauty of blogging: you have the opportunity to be honest without the terror of saying it aloud to someone’s face. It takes a remarkable amount of courage to look someone in the eye and speak from the heart. I can count the number of times I’ve been that brave on one hand. Each of those occasions are burned into my brain, those moments engraved in my memories. Some of the feelings are still a little raw.
I’ve exposed some of my deepest secrets online, things that I would never willingly share with the ones closest to me. I’ve shared dark desires, depression, suicidal tendencies, hopelessness, and general embarrassment. Some of it is funny. Some of it…isn’t. This blogging journey has taught me so much about myself and I’m continuing to learn as I go along. I’m extremely fortunate to have found internet strangers who not only enjoy reading about my misfortunes, but offer advice and words of encouragement when things got a little low. I don’t expect the same here, but I’m extremely grateful to anyone who takes the time to read my nonsense.
Thank you, dear reader. We appreciate you.
Good luck!
Thank you!
